Messi vs Arsenal

Can Arsenal defenders stop Leo Messi? Maybe, but it will be very difficulty for them because Leo Messi is in a great form

Messi vs Mallorca

Tonight Barcelona played against Mallorca and they won 1:0, Ibrahimovic was the scorer. Messi althought didn’t score has played very well and he was a real troublemaker for Mallorca defense

Maradona about Messi

“Messi is magnificent player and I will allowed him to play at any position that he wants on the World Cup” – said Maradona! Many football fans compare Messi with Maradona because of his great performances on the field.

Football Arsenal 4-0 Wigan Athletics

Nothing more than a win had been a good result here. Even a 2-1 win would have been bad considering Arsenal's last two matches against Manchester United and Manchester City. Arsenal needed to batter Wigan and needed to keep a clean sheet, and they complied.

Well, the first half was typical arsenal football, lots of good football, lots of chances but only 1 goal from all of the chances they created. Arsenal could have sealed the game in the first half if they had taken half the chances they created. Thomas Vermaelen scored the 1st goal for Arsenal from a corner. Vermaelin is not a big center half but he has a great leap and wins more headers than he loses.

Second half, Arsenal were 2-0 up after a wonderful strike from who other than Thomas Vermaelen. He ran from his own half with the ball, pass it to eboue who gave it back to Vermaelin just outside the 18 yard box. A wonderful strike by Vermaelin. I don't think many other defenders are capable of scoring such goals other than a product of Ajax. Third goal was a deflected shot. Eduardo had a shot on goal, took a couple of touches, 1st from a wigan defender and second from eboue who more than likely will claim that goal. Arsenal's captain made a good run in the box and scored from a pinpoint cross by Bendtner. Cesc Fabregas looked disinterested and not that happy after scoring the goal. Well, that was it. 4-0 to the Arsenal. Arsenal could have conceded a couple of goals but luck was on Arsenal's side today.

I had three arsenal defenders selected in my Fantasy Football team and they scored a lot of points for me, specially Thomas Vermaelen. The Beautiful Game (Pro Evolution Soccer 2010)

Playing PES 2010, you could be forgiven for wondering just how much further football games can advance. Not very much might be your initial assumption. The graphics and gameplay in Konami’s latest footballing extravaganza are awe-inspiring. Players, famous and not so, are well rendered and are instantly recognisable by features as well as more subtle observance of gait and playing style. Non-player controlled members of your team will work intelligently,
depending on their individual attributes, and will place themselves in appropriate positions for seamless passes and quick runs.

The more flamboyant players, your Ronaldos and Rooneys will demonstrate their skills on the ball and the referee even sometimes gets in the way. The reactions of off-the-ball players to actions such as fouls, bookings and missed chances can leave you wondering if you are watching an actual match.

The intricate detail of the game has been so well thought out that I can only assume that the next step in football gaming would be a compete, real-life rendering of a match, only distinguishable from the real thing by a red arrow above a player’s head indicating who you are controlling at any given point. The gaming modes are as expected with PES: European Championship oriented with a Master league option, where you can take your team from nothing to the dizzy heights of the Champion’s League final. There is a “Become a Legend” mode, where you can create your own player and customise everything about him, trial him for a team and work your way into the first side before becoming a legend, which gives the game as a whole a new dimension as you play as only on player and not a whole team; The player must therefore think about positioning and passing rather than simply running single-mindedly at the goal, which will more often than not result in your being run down by the defence.

It is safe to say that on initial inspection PES 2010 is an extraordinary game. However, on closer inspection it is not as perfect as it may at first seem. Where PES 2010 begins to fall down is that it doesn’t have the image rights to use all of the major teams in Europe. The majority of English Premier League clubs have had their name and strip changed just enough that PES won’t get sued, although the players names are correct with their likenesses rendered correctly. The control system is incredibly intricate, which could be seen as a good thing by those who like to control the game intrinsically, but to your average player it’s over-complicated with too many incarnations of shot variation and pass style. This is not a problem on the title’s main rival, FIFA 2010, which has the sponsorship rights for all the major teams, not only in Europe, but also throughout the world including international sides. FIFA 2010’s control system is simpler and more intuitive and it also has another extra touch that PES 2010 sadly lacks: linesmen (who just add that much more realism to the gameplay).

All of that said, however, PES 2010 is still and excellent game that offers hours of enjoyment for football fans. Online multiplayer and player vs. player matches ensure that the gaming experience can live beyond the challenge of the games AI, although as always with football games, it can expect to have a shelf life of about a year before they release the next instalment. Overall PES 2010 is a great game that suffers a little from trying too hard and from the obvious comparisons to FIFA 2010. Having played both I can say that I now wish I had purchased FIFA instead, however I have a nagging feeling that if I did I would be saying the same about PES 2010. Footballing gamers will love it.

SPANISH FOOTBALL SOOCER LEAGUE

LA LIGA 2009 / 2010 - GAMES RESULTS
Spanish Football Soccer League ( La Liga ) action yesterday with three results & SFS was out of town & could not put them up earlier. Here are the scores in case you haven´t yet seen them:

MALAGA 1 ( Apoño 66th min)
TENERIFE 1 (Alfaro 85th min)

MALLORCA 0 - FC BARCELONA 1 (Ibrahimovic 63rd min). The bad news for Barça fans coming out of this match is the injury of Andres Iniesta who will be out for around 10 days.
REAL ZARAGOZA 3 (Diogo 40th, Arizmendi 63rd & Jaroik 71st min) - VALENCIA 0. Valencia missed David Villa during this game who was out injured.

Tonight - Sunday - Spanish Football continued with more games with OSASUNA winning ALMERIA 1-0. The goal scorer for Osasuna was PANDIANI in the 19th min. Vital win for Osasuna who can certainly use the three points in their particular struggle to avoid the lower places.

DEPORTIVO were overrun by an inspired GETAFE who won 1-3. The only goal for Deportivo came thanks to RIKI in the 71st min. Before that consolation goal, Getafe got their three via MIKU ( 20th & 57th min) & ZE CASTRO (own goal 31st min).

XEREZ are doing everything possible to pull off a "miracle" & avoid relegation with a convincing 3-0 victory over "troubled" VALLADOLID. The goals for Xerez came via SANCHEZ (21st min), MICHEL (35th min) & BERMEJO via a penalty (72nd min)

VILLAREAL took SEVILLA FC further into problems with a authoritative 3-0 victory. Sacking Manolo Jimenez as Sevilla Coach seems not to have been the answer to avoid losing games as witnessed tonight. ROSSI scored first in the 4th min, followed by LLORENTE in the 17th min & PIRES in the 90th min.
